And something worth trying for the most adventurous visitor is night skiing, which is becoming increasingly popular.

It has many benefits, one of which is the ability to take to the slopes on an unlimited basis, as there are few others around at this time.

And spokeswoman Myriam Cervera suggests there are plenty of low-cost accommodation options that make a skiing holiday suited to all budgets.
Those keen to keep up to date with the latest news from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office might be pleased to hear it has now started using Foursquare and plans to expand its presence on social networking sites.
