An expert has urged holidaymakers to sample Singapore this summer.
Still thinking about where to head on a long-haul break this
summer?
If so, an expert has advised that Singapore could be ideal for holidaymakers of all ages with any manner of interests, as the Asian country offers a vast array of events and festivities for all members of the family over the coming months.
According to Eunice Yeo, area director for northern and western Europe at the Singapore Tourism Board in London, the nation really does have something for everyone in the
summer weeks, with attractions ranging from "small quirky events to large international events".
For example, a document released on June 29th by Your Singapore displays the wide range of different cultural offerings the country has for visitors.
Firstly, the country's Garden Festival - which is renowned as Asia's leading floricultural event - gets underway on July 15th and ends one week later. Also, the nation's famous Night Festival - taking place over the evenings of July 16th and 17th - is sure to draw in the crowds from Asia and beyond.
This involves Singaporean arts and culture spilling out onto its streets, bringing a carnival of clubbing, dining and shopping to the nation. In 2009, some 60,000 people attended the event.
On top of these local and regional attractions, Singapore also plays host to one of the most hotly anticipated sporting meetings of the seasonal calendar in September when the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will visit to participate in the third annual grand prix.
