September is the perfect time to take off on an Australian travel adventure, says expert.
Travellers looking to head to Australia on their next holiday might want to pack up and go as soon as possible.
According to Australian Visa Bureau director Guy Bradley, September is the best time to go down under on an adventure holiday as the month heralds the start of spring on the other side of the world.
The organisation's figures suggest that Australia is the most popular gap year destination for young travellers - although the country could also offer the perfect break for older Britons.
Mr Bradley said that an Australian holiday offers "the true spirit of adventure [and] of freedom - and an opportunity to make of it whatever you wish".
Just a few of the adventures holidaymakers to Australia could experience include travelling through the outback, indulging in diving and other watersports, and going skiing during the winter - although it may be advisable to take out
travel insurance before doing so, just in case.
