The Pyrenees' small ski resorts may be perfect for families, it has been suggested.
Families looking to go skiing this winter might want to head to the Pyrenees region in France.
According to Chantal Pitin of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the area is popular with Britons and features a number of small family-friendly resorts that sets it apart from rival ski regions.
"It's special because you have snow as well as the sun - we are in the south of France," she remarked.
Ms Pitin revealed that last winter was a particularly good season for ski holidays thanks to a good amount of snow falling in the Pyrenees.
Those looking to take out
ski insurance and book their holiday to the Pyrenees will be able to see popular tourist sites such as Lourdes, the caves of Ariege-Pyrenees and Toulouse, among others.
Midi-Pyrenees is the sixth most popular French area for tourism and attracts a significant number of visitors during the summer.
It accounts for 4.5 per cent of the international tourist market.
