Travellers can keep their electronic devices charged while on the move with the Powerbag.
Around 20 years ago, going on holiday without a mobile phone was a common thing, however most travellers now cannot be separated from their handheld device.
Couple this with MP3 players, laptops, tablets and e-readers and holidaymakers are left with another challenge – how to charge the items.
Fortunately for them, the Powerbag has been invented and put on display at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The bag, which is available in a number of styles, is the brainchild of RFA Brands and it contains a powerful battery which can then be plugged into any number of devices.
Users will be able to connect USB cables to their digital toys, while special adapters are available to plug into iOS devices like the iPhone, iPad or iPod.
All of this makes the bag ideal for those people who are looking to enjoy an adventure out in the wilderness, with the battery able to charge items when electricity is not available. It also negates the need to carry any number of chargers for the different products that people like to take away with them.
The bag itself can be charged by plugging the battery into the mains using the included AC adapter. Then, the bag can be turned on down by switching the on/off setting on the side before connecting the relevant devices.
Users can check their Powerbag's level of charge by pressing the logo on the outside of the bag, which will let them know whether it should be plugged into the mains before setting off again.
Holidaymakers will still need to ensure that they take precautions with their gadgets to avoid making a travel insurance claim while they abroad.
When not in use, expensive devices should be locked away in a safe, along with other important travel documents, such as plane tickets, passports and foreign currency.
