The company is expanding its accommodation.
Travel insurance customers who travel to park holiday camps will soon be able to live in brand spanking new accommodation at the sites, after the company announced that it is expanding its operation and increasing the number of accommodation places available to holidaymakers.
The company has said that it is investing £3.5 million in building new accommodation for its visitors across its 39 parks throughout the UK. The expansion will see it bring in many new caravans, with 100 new models being utilised.
It has revealed these plans shortly after it announced that an increase in visitor numbers had pushed its yearly profits for 2011 up by three per cent.
This increase in visitor numbers for the holiday park specialist could be attributed to the fact that the economic downturn is leading to more people staying at home when they holiday, rather than taking the more traditional route of jetting off to search for the sun.
As well as bringing in new accommodation, the park is expanding the entertainmentavailable for visitors, with new shows and big screens to enhance the experience for all the family.
"2011 was a promising year for us with a 3 per cent increase on 2010 visitor numbers. To ensure we keep offering our guests the best possible holidays, we need to invest in our accommodation and facilities across all our parks. Listening to customer feedback this year has been invaluable and we hope our latest investment reflects our customers' wants and needs," said Andy Edge, sales and marketing director, Park Resorts.
Visitors to the parks can enjoy a range of entertainment, from the likes of kids' clubs during the day, to evening entertainment in the form of circuses and variety shows.
