"Guaranteed sun" is one of the things that makes Orlando a popular holiday destination for British tourists, the Orlando Tourism Bureau has noted.
The Floridian city of Orlando offers "guaranteed sun" and plenty of activities, which is why it is so popular with tourists from the UK, according to the Orlando Tourism Bureau.
Danielle Courtenay of the organisation said that the fact there is a common language is another reason why many Brits opt to travel to the city, which was "built on fun and hospitality".
She added that Orlando has often been viewed as a destination offering good value for several years and the current economic crunch has not changed this.
"If people come, they will be treated so well and we know that with the recession, people are looking for good value," Ms Courtenay said.
Visa Europe recently revealed that the US is one of the most popular destinations for UK tourists, along with more traditional European destinations such as Greece, France and Spain.
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office recommends that all holidaymakers travelling to the US take out a comprehensive
travel insurance policy, as travelling by air ambulance from the east coast of the US could cost £35,000 to £45,000.
