An expert has said that the food festival will draw in the crowds this summer.
New York City has enough world-renowned attractions to draw holidaymakers there at any time of year, but an official has said that next month's NYC Restaurant Week is simply unmissable for all gastronomes.
Landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden are famous throughout the world and are often the reasons why many people take a trip to the Big Apple.
A report released on June 24th by NYC & Company - the city's official marketing, tourism and partnership organisation - revealed a new campaign aimed at attracting more visitors to the urban area.
Under the See More Be More strategy, each of the metropolis' five boroughs will be highlighted through colourful and vibrant imagery that will give a real flavour of each of their individual characters.
The organisation has predicted that the city will welcome more than 47 million visitors throughout 2010, a figure which reaffirms the Big Apple's status as one of the world's most popular destinations and also leaves it on track to achieve mayor Michael Bloomberg's goal of 50 million annual travellers by 2012.
According to Tiffany Townsend, vice-president of communication and affairs at NYC & Company, the city's Restaurant Week - which runs from July 12th to 25th - could play a major role in encouraging people to travel there this year following the great success of the last event.
More than 275 restaurants will be participating in the food extravaganza which takes place across the whole city.
