New York and Singapore have a host of attractions for food lovers, according to one expert.
The fact that New York and Singapore were recently voted the top culinary destinations by Lonely Planet writers shows how each city offers a variety of food-related attractions, it has been claimed.
New York and Singapore beat the likes of Paris and Rome to the top spot in the poll conducted earlier this year.
Garry Taylor, director and strategist at the International Culinary Tourism Association, said that both destinations are rated highly for their cuisine due to being home to multiple cultures.
"When a culture moves geographically, it takes with it emotive memories - its cuisine," he went on to explain.
The comments came after villas4you conducted research showing that 89 per cent of people are most likely to try new food when going abroad on holiday.
