Nikki Beach 'named one of the best beaches in the world'

Those in search of a luxury beach holiday this summer may wish to consider a trip to Nikki Beach in Marbella, the resort has suggested.

According to Nikki Beach, the destination has been named among the top ten "elite beaches" in the world by men's lifestyle website AskMen.com.

"Nikki Beach strikes the near-impossible balance of entertaining the elite without excess fanfare. Here celebrities don't have to disappear to roped off areas or otherwise distance themselves," wrote travel writer Terry Baldwin.

Other coastal resorts making the list included Akyandar Beach in Bodrum, Turkey and Grace Bay Beach in the Caribbean.

Nikki Beach said that the Marbella destination offers visitors everything from a chilled out atmosphere in the sun, to the sounds of international DJs playing into the evening.

Those visiting the Spanish resort in July may wish to attend the Bvlgari Diamond Party on the 31st or one of Nikki Beach's regular Full Moon parties.

For others looking for a more low-key destination, the beaches at El Cable near the Rio Real and the Cortijo Blanco beach near San Pedro Alcantara will offer visitors golden sands with fewer crowds, according to Marbella.com.

Holidaymakers should make sure they take out a travel insurance policy to supplement their European Health Insurance Card when travelling to Spain.
