The French city of Nice has been recommended for a visit.
Tourists could be tempted to book holidays to Nice after the destination was hailed for the range of possibilities it offers to those who visit the French city.
Jessika Bettan, marketing attache at the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Nice, stated that the area is a popular one for people to head to on breaks, due to its own micro-climate.
She explained that this is achieved as a result of its placement between the sea and the mountains, with the result being 300 days of sun a year on average.
Ms Bettan pointed out that this makes Nice an attractive destination for tourists from the UK at all times of the year, rather than only in the summer months.
"Our location between the sea and the mountains enables tourists to do a lot of activities," added the expert on the location.
"They can of course visit the city, the second city for art and culture after Paris."
She noted that all of the museums in Nice are free to visit, apart from the Chagall destination.
Water-based activities such as boat tours were also recommended to those considering booking a break to the French city.
According to research from The Co-operative Travel published earlier in the month, Britons are increasingly turning to traditional destinations for their summer holidays, with France set to be one of the main beneficiaries.
Breaks in the country have become 31 per cent more popular according to the study, perhaps due to the nation's close location to Britain and how easy it is to get to.
