"This year we are expecting just as many Brits as ever before to come to New York for Christmas shopping," said Anna Catchpole, PR manager for NYC & Company.
A recent report from the Post Office indicated that buying certain Christmas gifts in New York can result in savings of up to 25 per cent compared with purchasing the same items in London.
Significant savings could be made on big brands such as Tiffany, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg in particular, the study suggested.
