More tourists are expected to visit US destinations during 2011, according to officials.
More people are expected to touch down on US soil for their annual holiday during 2011, according to the US Travel Association.
Stella Clery-Ackland, spokeswoman for the body, explained that New York, Orlando, Florida and California are likely to prove popular thanks to the number of flights and resorts available.
"The popularity of these cities is driven by air capacity, price and holiday type ... British visitors are projected to be seeking more value for money," which could see them flock to central Florida where they will find "exceptional" deals, she explained.
Cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Kissimmee are predicted to see plenty of visitors during the coming year, while single trip insurance policyholders searching for a short break or stopover might choose New York as their destination.
However, anyone considering a holiday in the US could do well to book accommodation sooner rather than later, as figures released by STR Global state occupancy for hotels in the country will rise to 58.5 per cent in 2011, which represents an increase of 1.8 per cent.
The supply of rooms could also rise though, which may bode well for visitors from the UK, with an increase of 0.7 per cent in the coming months.
Brits have been holidaying in the US for some time, with the aforementioned states proving popular for the last 15-20 years, according to Ms Clery-Ackland. She said this is not likely to wane as they offer plenty of opportunities for different types of tourist.
