Hotels.com has unveiled its global top ten bargain hotel deals as prices continue to drop around the globe.
A new league table of the top ten bargain hotel rooms around the world has been launched by Hotels.com.
The Falling Stars table reveals the best value locations for travellers by ranking the cities and hotels that have experienced the biggest drops in prices over the last year. It is compiled using the website's specialist Hotels Price Index and offers invaluable hints and tips at where could be an option for a cheap break.
For example, the table reveals that prices for three-star rooms in the Mexican city of Cancun have fallen by around one-quarter in the last 12 months, while the same standard of rooms in Moscow and Dubai have dropped in cost by 39 and 18 per cent respectively.
Budget rooms across the globe have also lowered in cost, with prices in Boston dropping by 35 per cent and also falling by more than 30 per cent in Singapore and Hong Kong.
It was revealed yesterday by Fox News that New York City's famous luxury Waldorf-Astoria hotel had charged a couple just £15 for a room for one night to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. That was the price of a room at the hotel back in 1950.
Anyone planning to travel to any of the top ten bargain destinations should take out
