The Le Massif ski resort will be serviced by the new railway line.
The summer months might be a popular time for tourists to visit Quebec in Canada, particularly since the province is set to benefit from a new scenic railway line.
Le Massif ski resort will be serviced by the new train that runs along the coast near the St Laurence river, La Malbaie and Petite-Riviere-Saint-Francois.
Josephine Wiggall Lazarus, the UK director of tourism at Destination Quebec, said: "It's an excursion in its own right ... the train itself is the experience, because of the views and because of the sights."
Travel insurance policyholders arriving during the summer months can enjoy horse riding and whale watching at the end destination, taking advantage of the off-ski season weather and activities that are available.
What's more, the locomotive has facilities for dining that can be booked for the return leg of the journey between Quebec City and Le Massif, which takes place in the evening, Ms Wiggal Lazarus continued.
Investment in the attraction has come from a founder of Cirque du Soleil, Daniel Gauthier, who bought one of the mountains in the range. His C$230 million (£143.7 million) cash boost has facilitated the construction of the railway and the development of the tourist attractions along the route.
Chalets, new ski runs and hotels are also in the pipeline thanks to Mr Gauthier and holidays can be booked to combine a number of excursions and overnight stays, Destination Quebec has confirmed.
However, reservations should be made early, as figures from STR Global have suggested Canada's hotel occupancy has risen to 64.2 per cent during November this year.
