A new boutique hotel has opened its doors to guests in the Taiwanese city of Taipei.
Hotel Eclat is situated in one of the most fashionable districts in the capital, Da-An, and contains 60 rooms.
It is furnished with art and furniture from the personal collection of Hong Kong entrepreneur George Wong, who owns the hotel - the Eclat Lounge alone contains two original Salvador Dali sculptures worth millions of dollars each.
The Eclat Suite - which is already frequented by celebrity visitors to Taipei - boasts a lighted marble dining table, Murano glass sculptures, Swarovski chandeliers and a Swedish Hasten bed.
Britons interested in buying flights and
holiday insurance for a stay in this luxurious hotel can also take advantage of the onsite George Bar and easy access to the nearby attractions of Taipei 101 and the Tun Hua South Rd shopping district.
There is also much to see outside of the capital - some of Taiwan's most popular sights include the tallest mountain in north-east Asia, Yushan, as well as the region's seven national parks.
