Britons can now choose from extra flights to the Balearics with British Airways.
British Airways (BA) has announced the launch of extra flights from London to destinations in the Balearic Islands.
The services will fly from London City Airport, which is situated in the capital's Docklands area, to Majorca and Ibiza.
Originally slated to fly to each island three times a week, BA has said that it will increase the increase the frequency to four times a week for each destination during July and August.
It attributed the decision to particularly high demand for flights to these locations during the
summer.
The flights take less than three hours to reach the Balearics, although travellers may want to take out
holiday insurance in case any major delays occur.
"We are delighted with the response from passengers and our forward bookings demonstrate their commitment to these new leisure routes," remarked Luke Hayhoe, commercial manager for BA CityFlyer.
The other isles that make up the Balearic Islands include Minorca and Formentera.
