Midlands 'most likely to buy European holiday insurance'
A new study has revealed the preferred travel destinations of holidaymakers from the UK.
Research from First Rate Exchange Services found that people from the east Midlands were the most likely to purchase European travel insurance - as 22 per cent of people from the area said they planned on visiting countries such as Hungary and Croatia.
Those buying holiday insurance for adventure travel and faraway destinations were most likely to be from London, the survey indicated, with 47 per cent of people claiming to prefer less-traditional destinations.
Overall in the south-west, 30 per cent of people said they enjoyed travelling to resorts located outside of western Europe.
Travel insurance holders aged between 45 to 59 were the demographic most likely to visit Africa, while those under 24 favoured eastern Europe.
Visitors to Poland in August may wish to take in the Two Riversides Film and Art Festival where outdoor cinemas will show a series of independent films.
Taking place from the 1st to 8th, other cinema-related entertainment will accompany the event.
