Holidaymakers looking for a low-cost break may do well to head to Mauritius, it has been suggested.
Mauritius could be the ideal destination for those on a tight budget thanks to its stable currency, it has been claimed.
According to the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), the African country is particularly well-suited to those searching for low-cost breaks as a number of firms offer package holidays in the region.
"Most people don't spend too much while they are out there because they are mostly on half board or a fully inclusive package," explained MTPA sales and marketing manager for UK and Ireland Adam Hanmer.
These packages tend to include kids' clubs, hotel accommodation and motorised water sports, he added.
Holidaymakers could make their Mauritius getaway even cheaper by searching for the best deal on their
travel insurance policies.
One major event that attracts travellers to Mauritius is the Festival International Kreol, which celebrates Creole culture and will take place between November 28th and December 6th this year.
