Skyscanner has revealed the most popular destination searches for UK travellers.
Holidaymakers heading abroad in 2010 have mostly been searching the web for Spanish destinations.
This is according to Skyscanner, which says that the three most searched-for locations accessible from UK airports are in Spain - Malaga, Tenerife and Alicante.
Other top destination searches include Orlando in the US, Dalaman in Turkey, Faro in Portugal and New York in the US.
Palma and Lanzarote in Spain, together with Geneva in Switzerland, round off the top ten.
"Medium and long-haul locations also seem to be on the rise compared to last year, suggesting that holiday budgets may be growing after a tough financial year," remarked Barry Smith, co-founder of Skyscanner.
Those travelling to long or short-haul destinations may do well to take out
holiday insurance to cover the cost of lost luggage, delays and other issues.
According to the most recent Civil Aviation Authority figures, chartered flights to and from Dalaman saw the highest average delay - 23 minutes - out of all services flying between the UK and the top 75 scheduled and chartered destinations in the third quarter of 2009.
