Organisers believe that this year's Isle of Wight Festival line-up is its best-ever
The 40th annual Isle of Wight Festival will be marked with the event's best-ever line-up, according to its organisers.
Acts performing at this year's bash, which takes place at Seaclose Park near Newport between June 11th and 13th, include Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and The Strokes.
John Giddings, promoter for the festival, insists that such artists provide the event with its strongest, most eclectic line-up to date.
"Every year is an ideal year to attend the festival, but this year is our best line-up," he said.
Festival-goers have also been urged to make the most of their trip to the Isle of Wight by taking in some of the island's sights while they are there. Attractions such as Osborne House, Dimbola Lodge and Carisbrooke Castle are all short distances away from the site.
Revellers from other areas of the country may also wish to take out
travel insurance before making the long trip south for the event.
"The festival is only ten minutes from Newport and as the island is so small you can sightsee in the morning," added Mr Giddings.
Even if you're travelling within the UK,
holiday insurance from Direct
