Indian tiger safari 'all about the chase'
A travel writer has spoken of the "thrill of the chase" in a safari trip to find a tiger in India.
In a Daily Mail article, Mark Palmer gave an account of his experience of a safari in Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan.
While his guides promised the group in their vehicle that they would do their best to help them find a tiger, the pursuit was unfortunately unsuccessful.
But the group was treated to the sight and sound of a leopard, as well as the excitement of travelling through the area looking for a stripy big cat.
"We hadn't hit the jackpot in Ranthambore, but we felt like winners all the same," Mr Palmer wrote.
India Wildlife Resorts explains that the park is famous for its tigers but other wildlife sanctuaries also exist in the area.
