A restaurant in Copenhagen was recently named the best in the world, potentially making the city an ideal destination for food lovers.
Food lovers may do well to head to Copenhagen on their next getaway.
Noma, which is based in the Danish capital, was recently named the Best Restaurant In The World by Restaurant magazine and could provide the basis for a food-themed holiday.
The establishment serves up new interpretations of Nordic cuisine and is located in a warehouse situated on the Christianshavn waterfront.
Other restaurants of note in the city include AOC, Restaurant Herman and Kokkeriet, all of which have at least one Michelin star to their names.
Copenhagen is also home to popular attractions such as the Little Mermaid Statue.
"Eating out is an important ingredient, whether you are in Copenhagen on holiday or on business. We are delighted that our talented Danish chefs receive the recognition they so well deserve," commented Henrik Kahn, director of VisitDenmark UK.
Travel insurance may be a good idea for any food-themed break in case illness strikes and medical expenses need to be covered.
