Still plenty to do for visitors to the county throughout the colder months.
For people who are looking to get away from home this winter, but do not want to necessarily travel abroad, parts of Britain can still offer great breaks, even in the cold of the winter weather.
According to Andrew Bateman, tourism manager at Hampshire County Council, none of the county's top tourist destinations close to the public over the winter, meaning that those who are buying travel insurance for short trips, be it caravanning or just booking into hotels, can still enjoy the best that the area has to offer.
Attractions such at the HMS Victory, as well as the other historically impressive ships which are now docked at the port in Portsmouth will still be open, while those who are lucky may get to see the snow leopards at Marwell Wildlife Park near Winchester in their natural snowy environment.
In addition to the attractions which stay open throughout winter, Hampshire also offers seasonal attractions for tourists. An outdoor ice skating rink and German Christmas market in Winchester can be a great way to celebrate the festive period, and the Victorian themed Christmas display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu can give a really authentic feel of what it was like to live over 100 years ago.
Mr Bateman said: "Hampshire is a great place to come over the winter. All of its top attractions remain open over the winter."
Other popular attractions for people, and especially families, who are visiting Hampshire include Birdworld and The New Forest Animal Park.
