One in five Brits are likely to forget to take out travel insurance before heading abroad this half-term, according to the Post Office.
Britons heading overseas this half-term should ensure they remember to take out adequate
travel insurance, the Post Office has advised.
It says that 20 per cent of travellers are likely to go abroad without buying insurance, which means they run the risk of leaving themselves unprotected against issues such as delays and lost luggage.
According to the Post Office, holidaymakers from East Anglia are the most likely to forget their travel insurance, with 29 per cent of Britons living in this region admitting to not buying a policy before they go away.
"We ... urge consumers not to leave their travel insurance to the last minute ... to ensure they are covered for cancellation should an illness or an emergency happen before they travel," commented Sarah Munro, head of Post Office Travel Services.
Gocompare.com recently revealed that those staying in their own or someone else's holiday home while overseas are particularly likely to neglect to take out travel insurance.
