Holidaymakers to India are still keen on the so-called Golden Triangle tour, according to one travel firm.
The Golden Triangle tour is still a popular one among those travelling to India.
This is according to Louise Newton, PR and marketing manager at Somak Holidays, who says that the tour - which includes stops at Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, where the Taj Mahal is situated - is still a classic starting point for tourists visiting the country.
Other popular locations include the beach destination of Goa, which is particularly attractive to those seeking winter sun, she adds.
"India has so much going for it that one visit simply isn't enough," Ms Newton remarks, adding that she would recommend holidaymakers visit Kerala's backwaters and travel to Ranthambore to see the tigers, among other Indian destinations.
Taking out
travel insurance could be a good idea for those heading to India.
India's tourism minster, Kumari Selja, recently said that more needs to be done to turn the country into a world-class holiday destination.
