Egypt could be the ideal destination for keen divers, according to one expert.
Holidaymakers looking to indulge in some diving on their getaway may want to head to Egypt.
According to Alison Dando of the British Sub-Aqua Club, the Red Sea is an "incredibly popular" diving location for Britons thanks to its easy accessibility and "beautiful aqua marine coral reefs with fantastic marine life".
Divers can see sharks and turtles on their journey to the depths of the Red Sea, she explained - but the right training and equipment, as well as the proper
travel insurance, may be a necessity for those going on diving holidays.
"There really is no limit in terms of where you can dive," Ms Dando commented.
Egypt will be one of the most popular holiday destinations for Britons next year, according to research by CV Travel.
Other attractive locations will likely include Turkey and Morocco, while niche activity, cultural and learning breaks will see higher demand in 2010, the company said in its November report.
