For something different, attend the Berlin Festival this September
As the summer draws to a close, why not use the opportunity to enjoy one of Europe’s best music festivals in one of the mainland’s most vibrant cities? Berlin possesses some of the most vibrant night life on offer anywhere in Europe, making it a perfect road trip destination. Travellers headed to Berlin are advised to ensure their travel insurance policy is up to date. A single trip travel insurance policy can provide cover for the duration of the trip.
The festival kicks off on 10 September, with the last bands performing on the 11th. Some of the bands featured include UK favourites the Editors, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem and post punk legends, Gang of Four.
The festival provides a great opportunity to explore this German city, considering it takes place within the city limits. Berlin is a very liberal city that offers a myriad of museums, galleries and historical sites to travellers. As one of the EU’s most cultural and politically significant cities, visitors will be spoilt for choice.
With an extremely effective transport system in the city, getting around is easy. Staying at a hotel and travelling to the festival every day is completely feasible and allows for some comfort that traditional music festivals such as Glastonbury do not.
The festival boasts three stages, one outdoor and two indoor and starts at 10:00 on Friday, 10 September. Travelling to Berlin for this festival could double as a memorable autumn break by either arriving the week before or remaining in the city after the festival ends on Saturday, 11 September.
