Three culinary festivals await foodies who visit New Orleans this summer.
Food lovers looking for a holiday that focuses on their passion for all things edible might want to head to New Orleans this
summer.
The city will hold three festivals dedicated to food and drink in May, June and July this year, potentially making it an ideal destination for those interested in the region's cuisine.
In May, the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience will kick off the proceedings with five days of dinners, seminars and tastings relating to much of the food and drink that is produced and consumed in the city.
Meanwhile, the Louisiana Seafood Festival will take place in June and will celebrate the abundance of crabs, crawfish, oysters and shrimp that the state of Louisiana produces every year at restaurants and live music events in New Orleans's French Quarter.
Rounding off the trio of festivals is Tales of the Cocktail in July, which explores the world of cocktails through seminars, competitions, tastings, demos, book signings and other events.
Other attractions in the city include the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park and the Historic New Orleans Collection in the French Quarter.
Britons heading to New Orleans - or any other overseas destination - for a culinary holiday may want to take out
travel insurance just in case transport delays or other problems occur.
