An expert has suggested Hong Kong might be a great place to sample some traditional cuisine.
No matter what a traveller's budget, they are sure to find delicious cuisine on the streets of one east Asian city.
Anthony Lau, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, explained that tea rooms and bistros sit alongside Michelin-starred restaurants in the region, so tourists can expect "a wide variety of choices on dining".
He enthused that Hong Kong is a "gourmet's delight" and that traditional flavours are freshly available, as well as dishes inspired by other countries in the world.
And it is not just food that those enjoying a break can take advantage of - people keen on exploring the surrounding areas might want to hop on a tram as Mr Lau explained "there is no better way to experience the city's fascinating local attractions and unique heritage".
The transport system has become a famous part of the sights and sounds of Hong Kong and has proven "essential" to those living and visiting there, the official continued.
Culture vultures who have reached the city's limits on the tram could end their day touring one of the many temples, modern buildings and colonial structures that make up the municipality. Mr Lau said today's influences combined with traditional activities make Hong Kong "a living culture experience".
Holiday insurance customers hoping to enjoy their trip on a budget might be satisfied to hear figures released from the Post Office state that Hong Kong is more affordable than Australia when considering long-haul destinations and the spending money travellers might take with them.
