Florida Keys has something to suit all tastes, a tourism official claims.
Visitors to Florida Keys should find the destination has a unique ambience and plenty of activities to try out.
Kate Burgess-Craddy, UK representative of the Florida Keys & Key West, explains the area is characterised by its laidback attitude and relaxed approach.
"Being sub-tropical, the weather is lovely and warm all year round, but cool sea breezes keep temperatures comfortable during the summer," she says.
But travel insurance policyholders heading to the destination will find more than just sandy beaches and glistening waters.
Ms Burgess-Craddy reveals there is an "electric mix of modernity and history" to be discovered at Key West, which is closer to Cuba than it is to Florida's mainland.
The city is filled with traditional houses alongside properties that have "elaborate carved fascias" and stunning gardens that set the area apart from its neighbours.
While culture-vultures will have plenty to occupy their time in the urban centre, those who enjoy a drink or two could check out Key West's watering holes, which Ms Burgess-Craddy says are abundant.
A central road links one side of the island to the other, so it is easy enough to get around and see all the sites during a stay.
Recently an AirTran Airways daily jet service launched between Tampa, Florida and Key West, with the non-stop offering allowing visitors to easily travel to nearby hotspots.
There has also been an extension to bring a daily service of British Airways flights from London Gatwick to Tampa, meaning tourists from the UK could well appreciate the area with relative ease.
