Florida has been described as the perfect place for thrill seekers.
People looking for an adventurous vacation next year may wish to consider Florida, with one tourism industry commentator claiming it is perfect for those who enjoy a thrill.
Jo Eckersley, UK public relations officer for the Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau, said sport is hugely popular in the area, particularly with younger travellers.
"Central Florida is the spring training headquarters for the Detroit Tigers baseball team and also hosts the headquarters for the US youth soccer association," she explained.
According to Ms Eckersley, the state held 140 sporting events throughout 2010, which gives families a chance to witness some of the most exciting games on offer in the country.
Golf enthusiasts will also be happy, she added, with 37 courses spread across Polk county.
Alternatively, there are ample opportunities for skydiving, biplane flying and hot-air balloon rides.
Anyone considering an adrenaline-pumping experience while away may want to ensure they have adequate holiday insurance in place in order to guarantee that they are adequately covered in case of an accident.
Ms Eckersley also highlighted the annual Sun 'n' Fun Fly-in as an event on the calendar not to be missed, with the second biggest air show in the USbeing held every March.
Finally, the Fantasy of Flight exhibition is a great option for kids, boasting hangars filled with antique planes simulating a World War II base.
Earlier this year, the PR specialist highlighted Florida's theme parks as being particularly popular with tourists.
Many people flock to this part of the world to see its amazing sights, she added.
