Namibia offers interesting safaris and a luxurious holiday experience.
Individuals hoping to take out a travel insurance policy and enjoy a more unusual break might be wise to consider heading to Namibia.
According to Rhys Powell, sales and marketing manager for Namibia Tourism Board, the luxury on offer could come as a surprise to some people.
He explains this is teamed with a unique approach that ensures people get a real taste of the country and what it has to offer.
"[Some people] call it 'barefoot luxury' because instead of being a generic hotel - with spa treatments and looking like it could be anywhere in the world - they make sure that all their high-end properties merge in very well to the surrounding areas and are very eco-friendly," Mr Powell notes.
Many holidaymakers will expect to go on safari in this part of the world and there is certainly plenty to see when taking part in such an excursion.
The expert even claims that a number of the guides believe the country's tours are among the best they have ever witnesses.
One of the key areas is Etosha National Park, where the Big Five roam alongside other animals such as cheetahs, hippos and giraffes.
A huge selling point is that there is no poaching going on in Namibia, which Mr Powell claims is "big news" in the continent.
Tourists wishing to play an active role in helping their chosen destination could volunteer in the wildlife sanctuaries, assisting with tracking animals and releasing them into the wild.
Another location that is great for safaris is Kenya, with director of the country's tourist board for the UK Angie Sloan recently saying such a trip "should not be missed".
