Marrakech has something to offer people of all tastes, with plenty of cultural sights to see.
Travel insurance policyholders visiting Marrakech should find plenty of cultural sights and historical spots.
That is according to Faical Alaoui, trade marketing manager for the UK and Ireland at the Moroccan National Tourist Office, who says the city blends the two elements together to offer an interesting break.
"Visitors can enjoy the experience of a daily living culture, arts and crafts in its souks and Medina, mixed with a taste of history via its historical sites," he claims.
This sets Marrakech apart from many other destinations and Mr Alaoui suggests it is one of the only places in the world where there is such a "vibrant and pulsating atmosphere" that offers a glimpse into true Moroccan society.
A number of international jet setters have recognised the merits of the Moroccan city and they have made it a temporary or permanent home.
Mr Alaoui says famous artists are also great appreciators of the city, which offers a "paradox of simplicity and sophistication".
Families will be pleased to learn that there are many activities on offer, ranging from skiing to the Marrakech Aquaparc.
The Atlas Mountains prove to be a huge draw to many tourists, with the Moroccan Berber culture combining with interesting landscape to create a unique offering for those who wish to explore the area.
Other spots suggested by the Moroccan National Tourist Office include the Majorelle Gardens, where a collection of plants from all around the world exist.
And the Menara is described as one of the city's most symbolic places, with its instantly recognisable green tiles setting the building apart.
