National Trust properties could be ideal destinations for families over Easter, it has been suggested.
Families looking to take a UK break over Easter might want to look into the activities and events on offer at National Trust properties.
The National Trust is teaming up with Cadbury to offer hundreds of Easter Egg Trails around the country, which result in chocolate-themed prizes for those who complete them.
Other activities include face-painting, Easter egg painting and crafts.
The National Trust says it is expecting to see many people visit its properties over the break.
A spokesperson for the organisation explains that it wants to get families out into the fresh air, adding that the trust has registered an increase in visitors and members in the last year.
"I think it relates to the trend that is going on at the moment the whole staycation trend: people staying at home and not holidaying abroad," they comment.
Families taking an extended break in the UK may want to take out
travel insurance - particularly with some unions planning rail strikes for the four days directly after the long Easter weekend.
