An overseas New Year's Eve holiday is something everyone should experience at least once, according to Sunshine.co.uk.
A travel agent has suggested that all Britons should experience an overseas New Year's Eve celebration at least once in their lives.
Sunshine.co.uk co-founder Chris Brown said that everyone should try to head to foreign shores for one of the biggest celebrations of the year - but only if they can afford to buy the relevant flights, accommodation and
travel insurance.
The comments came as the company released its list of the top ten destinations for bringing in the new year, which included popular hotspots such as New York, Sydney, London and Rio de Janeiro.
Lesser-known New Year's Eve holiday locations consisted of those in South Africa and Canada.
"People should be aware of the hidden gems like Cape Town and Niagara, which really are spectacular places to wave goodbye to a year and welcome a new one," Mr Brown remarked.
According to the Guardian, those looking for a New Year's Eve party should head to Amsterdam, Berlin or Madrid, while romantics may want to plump for destinations such as Paris, Venice and Budapest.
