The city of Leeds has plenty to offer for holidaymakers this summer, it has been claimed.
There is no need for travellers to head abroad for a luxury break, as the West Yorkshire city of Leeds has plenty to offer those looking this type of break, it has been claimed.
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, stated that figures from iknow-uk which showed a 163 per cent rise in searches for apartments in the city is testament to how far the city has come.
"The city has so much to offer, from designer shopping in the Victoria Quarter and lunch at Harvey Nichols to cocktail classes in the city's cosmopolitan bars," he said.
Mr Verity went on to add that the aim is to make Yorkshire the UK's number one holiday spot, with Leeds' many attractions helping to achieve this goal.
Although they will be staying in the UK, holidaymakers may still want to take out adequate
travel insurance to cover for any potential issues and costs which may arise.
One event visitors to the West Yorkshire city may want to visit is the Leeds Festival, which takes place between August 27th and 29th and will feature acts such as Hadouken! and Roots Manuva.
Even if you're travelling within the UK,
holiday insurance from Direct
Travel Insurance is still a sensible purchase as the expense of dealing with issues on a holiday can be costly in any country.
