Travellers are making greater use of the internet to find out about the activities on offer in foreign destinations, it has been suggested.
British holidaymakers will continue to flood to Egypt, one travel expert suggests.
Lynsey Devon, activity sector PR manager for the adventure division at TUI Travel, claims that the north African country is set to retain its position as a popular destination for UK travellers due to the high number of adventure activities it offers.
And it appears people are increasingly doing their homework about the countries they plan on visiting, as she states holidaymakers will look to use social media websites to find about the activities on offer in particular destination.
However, for those planning on taking part in adventure pursuits while away Ms Devon also suggests that India will be a sought-after destination as it offers "very good value for money".
Those considering taking part in adventure activities while on a gap year were recently advised by Tom Griffiths, founder of gapyyear.com, to have a good idea of the pursuits they want to do so they can purchase the
travel insurance policy most suitable for their needs.
