An expert has said that cruises are likely to become more popular in the coming years.
An expert has commented that the luxury and adventure cruise sector is likely to continue its recent trend of growing popularity among holidaymakers in the coming years.
According to Martin Anslow, managing director and organiser of the upcoming CRUISE exhibition, travellers are becoming more and more interested in and attracted to long-haul expedition holidays which allow them to explore different countries and cultures all within the same trip.
On top of this, the fact that some locations can be viewed at their best by taking a boat trip - such as the Polar Regions, the Amazon river, Melanesia and Papua New Guinea - has also contributed to their upturn in popularity, the expert added.
The Daily Telegraph CRUISE convention - which involves many of the leading cruise liner companies coming together to speak to potentially interested parties about the benefits of taking such a holiday - is scheduled to take place at the Birmingham NEC between October 16th and 17th.
This could represent the ideal opportunity for holidaymakers considering going on a cruise to gain expert advice and information from people within the industry.
Meanwhile, the Carnival Corporation earlier this year predicted that Britain's holiday-at-sea market will double in size over the course of the next ten years, meaning that three million passengers will take that type of break annually by 2020.
Anyone thinking of going on a cruise in the near future might be advised to take out
