Niagara-on-the-Lake hosts chocolate and wine festival in 2012.
Chocolate and wine enthusiasts may consider taking themselves on a short break to Ontario, Canada in February to sample the best of each product that the area has to offer.
Those purchasing travel insurance can enjoy the Days of Wine & Chocolate 2012 festival on each weekend in February between 11AM and 5PM in Canada.
All in all, there are 28 member wineries taking part in the festival, and each of them will be given a Vintners Quality Alliance premium wine and a tempting brand of chocolate to try out for holidaymakers.
Stacey Mulholland, chair of the Days of Wine & Chocolate committee, says that the festival is a perfect way for groups of girls to get away and enjoy a cosmopolitan style break with their best friends.
"Days of Wine & Chocolate is the perfect excuse to whisk your honey away on a mid-winter romantic weekend, to get all the ladies together for some 'girl time' and everything in between," she said.
Those visiting Ontario can also enjoy a trip through the falls themselves on the Maid of the Mist when they are not partaking in some fine treats, as well as taking in the breathtaking CN Tower in Toronto, standing at over 550 metres high.
The festival is designed to promote local produce in Ontario, as well as developing attractive pairings between certain kinds of wines and chocolates. It is estimated that festival goers will partake in over 50,000 chocolates over the duration of the festival as they revel in the relaxed atmosphere.
