Chicago "one of the great restaurant cities"
Chicago, Illinois is up there with the world's best cities as far as its array of eateries is concerned, holiday insurance seekers may be interested to hear.
This is the claim of a new article in the Telegraph by Michael Grant, who wrote that while the weather is generally bad, the city is one of his favourite places to visit due to its dining culture.
"Chicago is one of the great restaurant cities and can go toe-to-toe with Barcelona, Rome, New York - even Paris," he remarked.
Mr Grant stated that Charlie Trotter's, Spiaggia and Grant Achatz are his three favourite places to go out for dinner, although the best places to go for lunch in his opinion are hot dog stands.
"The Chicago hot dog is a masterpiece," he commented, referring to the vast array of condiments that come with them and how they are impossible to eat without making a mess.
According to Best of the Best Dining in Chicago, hot dogs are among the city's most famous delicacies, along with pizza and steak.
