Couples may find themselves endeared to the scenery and resorts available in Guernsey, Sark, Alderney and Herm.
Couples keen to find a holiday destination that is both romantic and idyllic might find themselves enamoured by what is on offer in the Channel Islands.
A mild climate and the influences of France could appeal to those looking for a destination that provides a great experience, but is not too far away from the UK.
Alderney boasts opportunities for hiking and walking, with more than 50 miles of paths that snake around the island that is less than four miles long. Cliffs, beaches and commons are all sights along the routes and the capital, St Anne, might be a great place to unwind after a day in the great outdoors. Shops, cobbled roads and colour-washed houses line the streets and accommodation is available in the lighthouse keeper's cottage.
The main attraction, however, is likely to be Guernsey, where upmarket hotels and boutique properties await anyone willing to spoil themselves with a stay. Award-winning restaurants are abundant and 27 beaches line the coast. The outcrop measures 24 sq miles and could prove popular among people looking to snap some photographs of the picturesque scenery or busy harbour area.
Holiday insurance policyholders really looking to get away from it all might prefer the one-mile wide island of Herm. Hidden bays, pristine beaches, rolling fields and dunes are also ready for exploring. Adventurers can book a catamaran crossing from Guernsey each day.
Meanwhile, on Sark - the smallest of the Channel Islands - Wildflower Fortnight begins in April and the Sheep Racing Weekend will be held from July 22nd until the 24th next year.
