A new exhibition in Cockermouth will display postcards from celebrities revealing why they love Cumbria.
Britons heading to the Lake District for a domestic holiday this year might want to head to Cockermouth.
An exhibition is due to open at Cockermouth Town Hall on May 20th showcasing postcards written by numerous celebrities stating why they love Cumbria.
Running until June 2nd, the display includes postcards from Dame Judi Dench, Richard E Grant, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, The Saturdays, Carey Mulligan, Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen.
The exhibition was created to encourage tourists to return to Cumbria following last year's flooding in the area.
Britons visiting Cumbria may want to take out

"The county's recovery from the floods is progressing well. As ever the scenery is spectacular, our welcome is warm and now we have almost 100 celebrities singing the praises of our county," commented Ian Stephens, chief executive of Cumbria Tourism.
Cockermouth is a Georgian market town located on the edge of the Lake District.
Some of its attractions include Wordsworth House and Cockermouth Castle.
