VIA Rail Canada has espoused the benefits of travelling through the North American country by train.
Travellers should consider using train journeys as part of their holiday experience rather than just for travel.
That is according to VIA Rail Canada, which claimed that the advantage of taking a train is that you "get to relax and see the scenery from out of the window".
Josephine Wasch, senior manager of international sales at the firm, explained that landscapes in the North American country are beautiful whatever time of year you travel.
She said that travellers can enjoy the sight of the Rockies, lakes and glaciers and small towns and communities if they embark on one of the company's rail journeys.
"Our long distance trains provide the services on board like a cruise on rails," she added. "In a sense it becomes a journey, an expedition in itself - not just transportation."
Travel insurance could be a good idea for trips to Canada, especially for those concerned about the financial cost of cancelled flights or lost luggage.
Earlier this month, the Canadian Tourism Commission revealed that there had been a 100 per cent increase in traffic to their travel website since the end of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
