Budapest 'offers great culture on the cheap'
Budapest in Hungary is an excellent place to travel to for culture vultures 'looking to holiday on the cheap'.
This is the suggestion of a new article by Adrian Bridge for the Telegraph, which explained that the capital city offers a rich cultural experience for a cheap price, making it particularly appealing during the ongoing economic downturn.
"With its grand Austro-Hungarian boulevards, Art Nouveau architecture and fin-de-siecle air, Budapest is one of the great showcases of central European culture," Mr Bridge wrote.
Cheap travel insurance seekers may be aware of a host of positive articles about Budapest as a potential holiday destination in recent weeks.
Tabloid newspaper the Mirror also published an article about the Pearl of the Danube, recommending trips to the Royal Palace, Margaret Island and the "magnificent" Fishermen's Bastion.
It advised that travellers will find Buda to be greener, quieter and more historical from an architectural perspective than Pest.
