Newquay is still a popular destination for many Brits, including families, according to VisitCornwall.
The Cornish destination of Newquay is still popular among young people and families alike.
This is according to VisitCornwall PR manager Teresa Timms, who says that both groups of travellers flock to the town every year.
It has traditionally been a family resort, but has become increasingly attractive to young holidaymakers over the last few years.
And it is not just Britons who are travelling to the destination - according to recent figures from Tourism Newquay, more Europeans look set to head to the town this year compared with 2009.
"Because of its location, Newquay is ideally placed to explore both the east and the west of the county," Ms Timms explains.
"Within 40 minutes, you can get to the Eden Project and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth."
Britons looking to travel to Newquay this
summer may want to take out
holiday insurance in case extensive transport delays occur on their journey to Cornwall.
Even if you're travelling within the UK,
holiday insurance from Direct
Travel Insurance is still a sensible purchase as the expense of dealing with issues on a holiday can be costly in any country.
