Britons are increasingly turning to the web to search out the best travel deals, according to a new survey.
Consumers are making greater use of the internet to hunt for low-cost holidays, a new study has revealed.
IMRG and eDigitalResearch's e-Customer Service Index survey shows that 48 per cent of Britons say they are more likely to use the web for this purpose in 2010 than they were last year.
This comes after another survey by eDigitalResearch showed that 12 per cent more consumers are looking to buy and book their breaks online this year.
Holidaymakers might also want to look on the web for the cheapest
travel insurance.
"More people are swayed by better holiday deals online and are less likely to plan so far in advance," commented David Smith, director of operations at IMRG.
Research findings released by First Rate Exchange Services yesterday (February 3rd) showed that 58 per cent of British consumers plan to go abroad on holiday this year.
Londoners were found to be the most likely to do so, while residents of the West Midlands were discovered to be the least likely.
