Florida will always be popular with British holidaymakers, according to VISIT FLORIDA.
The US state of Florida has always been popular with Britons and will continue to be so in the future, it has been suggested.
According to Christopher Thompson of tourism organisation VISIT FLORIDA, this part of the world has everything that British holidaymakers are used to and more besides.
He explained that the recession has shown consumers tend to rely on what they are most familiar with.
"The Brits have had a love affair with the state of Florida for a long time so it is certainly a comfortable and an attractive destination," Mr Thompson stated.
Recent figures from VISIT FLORIDA showed that 18.5 million holidaymakers visited the Sunshine State in the three months to September.
Almost 61 million people also descended on Florida in the year to September.
Travellers heading to the state may want to take out
