More and more couples planning honeymoons are opting for beach breaks.
Beach holidays are becoming more and more popular among couples who are planning a honeymoon for after their wedding ceremony.
Simon Cooper, chief executive officer of price comparison website On the Beach, stated that most people want to get away to a destination that guarantees sunshine for them to enjoy spending time with their new husband or wife.
The holiday expert noted that locations such as Egypt, the Canary Islands and Turkey are seeing an increasing number of honeymooners booking breaks, as these are known to be some of the best countries for good weather.
He said: "For happy couples looking to book their honeymoon for this year and for 2012, we would suggest booking early in order to grab one of the many early booking discounts available."
Mr Cooper was commenting after the release of research from HolidayExtra.com, which found that more than half of people say a beach holiday would be their perfect choice if they were to be booking a break for a honeymoon.
But one out of every three of the males who responded to the poll stated that they have never dreamt about their ideal destination to celebrate marrying their new wife.
Joanna Marsh, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, recently stated that a break in the country can be perfect, as it combines city holidays with plenty of lovely beaches on which to while away the days.
Perge and Aspendos were singled out as some of the best places to head to for those who are planning Turkish holidays.
