Australia could be the perfect destination for a cruise, according to Cruise Critic.
Holidaymakers wondering where to sail to on their next cruise might want to consider Australia.
According to Cruise Critic editor-in-chief Carolyn Spencer Brown, the country "is ideally set up for cruises".
She points to the fact that Australia is particularly large, meaning that its cities are spread out.
As a result, "a voyage around the country is a great way to see really disparate destinations", she comments.
Some of the highlights of such a cruise would include the Great Barrier Reef and its potential for diving and beach activities, as well as city excursions to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and its surrounding wine country.
"There's so much variety," Ms Brown remarks.
Britons considering an Australian cruise may want to ensure they have
travel insurance in place to prepare for any unforeseen problems.
Cruise firm Cunard Line recently announced that its Queen Mary 2 ship will head to Australia for a circumnavigation of the country in 2012, taking in five states and the Northern Territory along the way.
